THE Hull family have secured the top price ram for the third consecutive year at Mallee Hill's on-property sale at Ceduna on Friday, helping the stud to a $3200 top.
The stud sold 93 Poll Merino and Merino rams of 99 offered, for a $1021 sale average, attracting four new buyers.
Long-term clients, Reece and Les Hull, Elliston, bought the $3200 April 2019-drop ram that weighed 103 kilograms.
The Glenville-blood ram had a 20.2 micron fleece with a standard deviation of 3.2, coefficient of variation of 15.9 and a 99.6 per cent comfort factor.
The Hull's also secured one of two $3000 second-highest price rams.
Studmaster Warren Beattie said the top price ram had very lustrous wool.
"It was the first ram off the rank and sold well," he said.
The other $3000 ram was bought by MA&HE Nicholls, Ceduna, who also secured a further two rams, averaging $1800.
The top price Merino ram was the heaviest in the catalogue at 125kgs and sold to new buyer Owen Chandler Nominees, Charrah, for $1300.
A total of six rams were bought by the buyer, averaging $1050.
The sale volume buyer was Koonawarra Station, Broken Hill, that bought 19 rams to $700.
