HEAVY lambs made $20 to $30 less than the previous sale at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange on Thursday, while trade lambs were firm to $10 easier.
Two buyers were absent from the sale, which saw a yarding of 8132 lambs and 1136 mutton, totalling 9268 head on offer.
Crossbred lambs sold to $256 for 117 head from Allan Co, Sea Lake, Vic, while SP Rover, Cobera, received $250 for 50 head.
B&C O'Callaghan, Ouyen, sold 253 crossbred lambs at $253, another 178 at $234, and a third pen of 130 at $229.
Export crossbreds sold from $204 to $256 or $6.60 a kilogram to $7.20/kg, while trade lambs made $170-$210 ($7.80-$8.50/kg).
Andersons of Bronzewing, Vic, sold 112 crossbred lambs at $239, while G&P Burns, Tempy, Vic, sold 48 at $236.
All selling crossbred lambs at $234 were MUT, Tempy, with 62; A&N Hulland, Patchewollock, Vic, with 44; and G&R Vine, Ouyen, with 34.
Heavy Merinos sold from $190-$225 ($7.20-$7.80/kg), while lighter types made $116-$196 ($7.60-$8.10/kg).
Wegner Bros, Karoonda, sold 82 Merino lambs at $225, while CB Gorman, Euston, NSW, sold 26 at $220.
M Burns, Tempy, sold 76 Merino lambs at $215, as did R&J Vallance, Ouyen, with 31 head.
Heavy mutton sold from $150-$205 ($5-$5.40/kg), while light mutton made $96-$140 ($5.40-$5.80/kg).
T, G, N&M Wyatt, Murrayville, sold 68 mutton at the $205 top.
BJ Smith, Wentworth, NSW, sold 40 Dorper lambs at $208.
