A NEW campaign to help support Australian businesses is gaining traction, with consumers encouraged to "join the Aussie-made Club".
Member for Barker Tony Pasin said this would allow SA to "do their bit to help in our national economic recovery".
"I encourage local residents to go to the Australian Made website and literally "join the club" - it's free, you get offers and discounts, and it helps you identify a range of Australian-made products," he said.
Mr Pasin said buying Australian-made products whenever possible is a really practical way to back local producers and manufacturers.
"So many locals have come to me asking what we can do to grow Australian manufacturing. One of the best things we can do is to buy local," Mr Pasin said.
"When you buy Australian Made you're not just helping the local shop, you're supporting Aussie manufacturers and all the businesses in their supply chains from farmers to designers."

Australian Made Campaign Limited chief executive officer Ben Lazzaro said the campaign, launched this month, was designed to build on the huge grass-roots movement spawned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Our website is attracting more than 250,000 visitors a month - a 130 per cent increase on normal," he said.
"Our social media audience has grown ten-fold since the beginning of this pandemic.
"Australian brands are also seeing the value in using our logo, with a four-fold increase in applications and a doubling in new licensees."
The new campaign spans TV, radio, out-of-home, print, online and social media with a value of more than half a million dollars, as it seeks to impact the purchasing decisions of all Australians.
It comes after the federal government earlier this year committed $5 million to expand the reach of the Australian Made logo to help global exports.
"A coordinated push to 'buy local' has the potential to play a big part in getting Australia back on line," said Mr Lazzaro.
"So, whether it's doing the weekly grocery shopping, buying online, sourcing supplies for business or procuring products for major projects, let's make sure we look for the trusted Australian Made logo to be sure its authentically Australian."
Roy Morgan Research showed 90pc of Australians were aware of the Australian Made logo and 88pc trust the mark as an identifier of genuine Australian products.
The vast majority (84pc) associate the logo with supporting local jobs and employment and over half of Australians associate the logo with products that are of high quality (58pc) and are produced using ethical labour (57pc).
