TRIBUTES are flowing for two young boys killed in a tragic car accident near Roma at the weekend.
Jack Cameron, 10, from Ardno, Mount Abundance, and 16-year-old Archie Gouldson from Brisbane, died after the Toyota Landcruiser wagon they were travelling in rolled on private property on Binya Lane about 11.50am on Sunday.
Two other boys, both aged 16, were taken to Roma Hospital with serious injuries and are now in a stable condition.
A Cameron family spokesperson said Jack, a much loved son and brother, was a talented junior rugby league player and a true country boy.
He loved nothing more than spending time with his parents, Nick and Sarah, and sisters Georgia, Jemma and Meg, on their cattle and grain property.
"Jack will be remembered as a very happy, bright and capable kid who loved being outside, working on the family property or playing footy," the spokesperson said.
"The entire Roma community is shattered by his loss. Jack will particularly be remembered by his school mates at the Roma State College and his clubmates at the Carnarvon Cubs Junior Rugby League Club and the Roma and District Junior Rugby League Club.
"He was a very talented, determined player who will be sadly missed by so many."
Archie, a Year 11 student at Brisbane's Anglican Church Grammar School, also a talented sportsman, had been visiting a friend's property at the time of the tragedy.
Classmates held a spontaneous gathering when they returned to school on Monday to express their grief at the loss of their friend.
The Cameron family say they have been overwhelmed by the support from the local community, family and friends.
They have set up a fundraising page called Jack's Last Gift where friends can donate to a cause close to their hearts, Epilepsy Queensland, in lieu of flowers and gifts.
"Epilepsy is a condition that has severely impacted Jack's family in recent years and the Camerons hope those who want to show their support will do so by visiting Jack's Last Gift and donating a little," the family spokesperson said.
