THERE are few companies that can boast the rich heritage of a 40-plus year association with the Australian agricultural industry.
From a virtual rebirth 10 years ago, Farmscan, with its new leadership and technology focus, took the bold step of returning back to its roots in Western Australia along with a new look.
Since July last year, Farmscan has been based in the commercial suburb of Canning Vale in Perth's south.
This office is the technology and support headquarters for the ever-growing sales coming from the region.
Following the success of the previous nine years under the Farmscan Ag banner in Toowoomba, Queensland, the decision was made to divide the company into three individual trading entities that will specialise in three distinct fields.
"Farmscan continues to focus on all aspects of dealer, end user sales and support for the existing Farmscan range of products," Farmscan product specialist, Jason Allan said.
"We are continuing to supply this while also providing retail and dealer distribution for the other new entities - Precision Technologies and Smart Ag Systems.
"Farmscan provides a wide range of monitors and controllers for everyday farming applications including the 7000 range of controllers for complete control of your spraying (74V1), spreading (7300) and seeding (7500) application rates.
"Replacing your ageing 24V1 and Canlink series of controllers has never been easier.
"The 7000 range is not only innovative and robust - it's reliable hardware and Australian-built software makes it an adaptable and versatile product."
Other line-ups include the Jackal; a low cost three-section Jackal spray rate controller and/or compact and robust monitor that adapts onto almost any machine.
It is designed as a multi-functional monitor and controller, capable of many simultaneous tasks and 12 separate inputs.
"With an excess of 7000 units of these sold, the Jackal has a built in wizard and trip function that makes this a great replacement or addition for any old 1000 - 2000 series of monitors," Mr Allan said.
"Farmscan are also distributors for the AgraTronix range of hay and grain moisture meters and the Wireless Blockage & Flow system for airseeders by Intelligent Ag.
"More recently, we have become distributors for the remote monitoring of hay temperature storage system by Quanturi Finland - Haytec.
"Farmscan offer a range of GPS guidance products from mapping, variable to full RTK auto-steering steering.
"No matter what level of guidance or control systems you are looking for, Farmscan has a product right for your budget and needs."
