Crossbred lambs sold to $280 at Ouyen Livestock Exchange in Vic on Thursday.

CROSSBRED lambs sold to $280 at Ouyen Livestock Exchange in Vic on Thursday, in a smaller yarding of 3132 head.

Quality grain fed lambs sold to a dearer trend, most $10-$20 dearer.

G&L Bate, Mildura, Vic sold the top price lambs - 64 at $280, while W Schultz, Mittyack, Vic, sold 22 crossbred lambs at $274.

Overall, export lambs sold from $207-$280 or $7.20 a kilogram to $7.80/kg; trade lambs made $161-$222 ($7.90-$8.80/kg); and store lambs sold from $164-$176 ($8.80-$9.50/kg).

Anderson of Bronzewing, Bronzewing, VIc, sold 94 crossbred lambs at $271, while Cureton Pastoral, Mildura, sold 155 at $270.

MUT, Tempy, sold 79 crossbred lambs at $268, while DJ&JM Goldsmith, Yarrara, Vic, sold 186 at $264.

Heavy Merinos sold from $171-$174 ($7-$7.20/kg), while lighter types made $147-$162 ($7-$7.20/kg).

J & F Shaddock, Ouyen, sold 28 Merino lambs at $215; F Stone, Torrita, Vic, sold 25 at $212; while MGN Gibbins, Galah, sold 22 Merino lambs at $202.

Mutton held firm, with heavy weights selling from $144-$230 ($6.40-$7/kg), while lighter types $120-$136 ($6.40-$7/kg).

D&B Smith, Patchewollock, Vic, sold 36 mutton at $230; FO&VJ Hooper, Keith, sold 19 mutton at $210; while Fitzpatrick Partners, Walpeup, Vic, sold 62 mutton at $202.
