THIS week we take a look back 38 years in the Stock Journal archives to January and February of 1982, when the North East of the state was hurting from drought.
The SA Beef Field Days was also held with 70 studs participating featuring 14 different breeds, while there was also a heifer competition at Springton and a South East Beef Carcass competition.
Extra-fine wool sold for a record $32 a kilogram, while there was a strong SA contingent at the Chamberlain John Deer Limited dealer conference in Perth.
