A public drought forum was hosted by the state government at the Marree Hotel on Tuesday to discuss issues impacting communities across the region.
Premier Steven Marshall, acting Primary Industries Minister and Member for Stuart Dan van Holst Pellekaan and Member for Flinders Peter Treloar met with the community.
Mr Marshall said the state and federal governments were standing with local primary producers that were doing it tough.
"We know there are many people across the state who are suffering through significant dry conditions and we will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our drought-affected farmers," he said.
"Importantly, we are working closely with the federal government to ensure support is being provided where it is needed most in a practical and efficient way."
Providing communities impacted by drought greater access to wellbeing and financial support through an expanded Family and Business Support program was also discussed at the forum.
Up to four new FaBS mentors will be appointed in the pastoral regions and northern areas.
"It will ensure more farmers and pastoralists, families and small businesses doing it tough in our northern drought-affected regions can quickly access support," Mr Marshall said.
