THE Horrocks Highway, Owen Road and Victor Harbor have been named amongst the state's riskiest roads by the RAA, who recently released the results of their 2019 Risky Roads campaign survey.
More than 1300 SA road users nominated what they thought were the riskiest roads and intersections during the campaign, with the Blackwood Roundabout (Main Road, Shepherds Hill Road and Coromandel Parade) voted the riskiest intersection followed by Main South Road, Tatachilla Road and Maslin Beach Road at Tatachilla, and the intersection at Main North Road, Port Wakefield Road and Grand Junction Road, Gepps Cross.

Of all roads nominated, problems with the road surface made up 57 per cent of all issues, with 32pc relating to road design, 7pc to signs, lines, signals or lighting and the remainder relating to roadside issues.
Of all intersections nominated, problems with the intersection design made up 51pc of all issues, with 30pc relating to signs, lines, signals or lighting, 10pc to road surface issues and 9pc relating to roadside issues.
Other regional roads in the top ten riskiest as voted by road users included the Upper Yorke Road from Maitland to Arthurton, Caddy Road at Loveday in the Riverland, the Riddoch Highway and Augusta Highway.
Rounding out the top ten were the Barrier Highway, Thiele Highway and Spencer Highway from Maitland to Minlaton.
The notorious Port Wakefield Road, Copper Coast Highway and Augusta Highway intersection north of Port Wakefield was voted seventh in the state's riskiest intersections.
