Stage 6 of the Tour Down Under was held on the traditional McLaren Vale to Willunga circuit, highlighting the region's vineyards and beaches.
The 2020 edition of the Tour Down Under culminated with the much anticipated southern vales stage, which saw Lotto Soudal's Matthew Holmes take the win in his first professional race.
It was to be Trek-Segafredo rider Richie Porte's day however, with his second place stage finish enough to earn him his second Ochre Jersey. Despite being beaten to the stage win, Porte proved too strong for his GC rivals, with overnight leader Daryl Impey finishing in 6th place overall.
