DAIRYFARMERS from across the world were in Adelaide recently to kick off the 2020 World Ayrshire Federation Conference Tour.
There were representatives from four continents on site at the welcome reception, which included drinks, nibbles and some insight into the local dairy industry.
Australian Ayrshires president Scott Braendler said the tour was a chance to show and promote what the Ayrshire breeders in Australia are achieving, as well as a chance to show off the town.
The group also heard from SA Water and Environment Minister David Speirs, who said he jumped at the chance to represent the government at this event as he had grown up in Scotland on a dairy farm, only kilometres from the county of Ayshire, where the dairy breed originated.
