The Mount Pleasant market offered a larger cattle yarding than in past markets on Thursday this week, with quality cows topping the section at $1560.
Competitive bidding dominated the sale of 1200 sheep and lambs, and 207 cattle.
Eight crossbred lambs from R Young, Ashbourne, and six lambs from Boman Park, Mount Pleasant, both topped the section at $180, while WS&CB Whittall, Nairne, made $170 for 20 crossbred lambs.
Sally McCarthy, Keyneton, offered 40 crossbred lambs, making $166.
Wayne Biggs, Kersbrook, made $162 for seven lambs and L&S McMahon, Kingsford, made $160 for 25 lambs.
The ewe section sold to $160 for 14 GD&DH Grieger, Swan Reach, and four ewes from BB&SJ Willison, made $140.
Wethers topped at $154 for 3, from P&R Vivian, Gawler, and RC Mitchell, Rowland Flat, made $142 for seven wethers.
In the cattle section, steers topped at $1480 for two Angas steers from KH Rattei, Springton, the same vendor made $1420 for two Freisans.
J Colquhoun, Birdwood, made $1300 for one Murray Grey steer.
Heifers reached $1340 for two Angas females from GK&JL Boxall, Eden Valley.
Cows topped at $1560 for G&P Noblet, Magill, for three Murray Grey cows and seven Murray Greys from GK&JL Boxall, Eden Valley, made $1520.
Cows with calf at foot made $1500 for an Angas cow from B Ames, Springton.
