Harvest is underway in many areas of SA, which means hours spent on headers, trucks and chaser bins.
It has been a trying year for many croppers, with frost leading to many crops cut for hay, while reduced rain has constrained many.
The latest predictions from PIRSA show the state's total harvest is expected to reach 6.2 million tonnes, as the trying conditions cut the forecast by 1.75mt.
But this is still above last year's 5.785mt.
