IT WAS been a big month throughout October across the state's livestock selling centres.

The off-shear sales continued at Lameroo, Bordertown and Keith, with a saleyard recrod set at Lameroo with $326, while Bordertown fell just short of its record set last year with $272 and Keith reached a high of $332.

There were also a big yarding of ewes for Jamestown's second feature ewe sale, which hit a high of $272, while the Crystal Brook sheep sale also returned after a hiatus.

Good sales continued at Murray Bridge, Mount Pleasant and Ouyen, Vic.

Cattle prices were also strong at Naracoorte and Mount Gambier.

The action continues into November with the Naracoorte blue ribbon first-cross sales among the features.
