SOME Riverland and Mallee farmers have received up to a third of their annual rainfall in the past week.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, for the seven days to 9am Monday, Loxton and Renmark had both received 20 millimetres.
Some farmers in the region had only had 60mm for the year up until Friday.
At Nangari, east of Loxton, Justine Fogden said the rain would possibly plump up their remaining green crops and help to rebuild subsoil moisture.
"At this rate, we will have the latest start to harvest in some time," she said.
Just south of Loxton, Meribah had 28mm - one of the best tallies for the state, while Lameroo had 19mm.
Other big totals fell at Gluepot in the North East pastoral with 27mm, 17mm at Moonta on Yorke Peninsula, 17mm at Cape Willoughby on KI, Inman Valley 25mm, 21mm Blanchetown, Morgan 19mm, Keith 16mm, Mount Bryan 12mm, Marrabel 14mm, Myponga 23mm, Nangwarry 27mm and Broken Hill, NSW, 16mm.
