DESPITE a good number of quality suckers on offer and store buyers active, prices were slightly back at Ouyen Livestock Exchange, Vic, today.
Overall, 9844 lambs and 2876 mutton were offered, totaling 12,720.
Export sucker lambs sold from $173-$210, or $6.80 a kilogram or $8/kg, while trade types made $132-$183, or $7-$8.10/kg, and store/light lambs made from $114-$150.
P&B O'Brien, Speed, Vic, sold the top 116 crossbred lambs at $210, plus 167 mutton at $176.
W Schultz, Mittyack, Vic, also sold 35 crossbred lambs at $205 and 151 mutton at $183.
T&J Lynch, Hattah, Vic, sold 46 crossbred lambs at $201, while Munro Brothers, Ouyen, sold 64 at $197.
Heavy mutton sold from $126-$183, or $4.80-$6/kg, while lighter types made $44-$145, or $5.30-$6.20/kg.
M Pohlner, Ouyen, sold 87 mutton at $180, while H&P Yard, Murrayville, Vic, sold 53 also at $180.
Heavy Merinos sold from $139.$142, or $6.80-$7.20/kg, while light Merinos sold from $102-$135, or $6.80-$7.40/kg.
