Wardle Co Real Estate are seeking expressions of interest to lease 703 arable acres in the Murraytown district in the area known as Wongyarra.
The property is being offered as a whole or in three contingent lots.
Lots 1 and 2 are located each side of the Horrocks Highway with Lot 3 known as Mt Mick, situated approximately three kilometres to the east.
The property is located about three kilometres south of Murraytown, a district well known for its reliability and productivity.
The land predominantly comprises red/brown loam soils with a mix of gentle to undulating rises and is well suited to continuous cropping.
The property is offered for lease by expressions of interest due by 3pm, October 24.
The property enjoys an average annual rainfall of about 450mm and presents as an opportunity for growers in the region to increase their arable footprint for the next three years.
The current proprietors have been using modern farming practices with a focus on premium production through fertiliser and chemical application, legume rotations and stubble retention which should provide confidence for any prospective lessees.
The property is well fenced and water is supplied via submersible bores and windmills to tanks and troughs. The fixed term lease is to commence on March 1, 2020, and allows for grazing sheep also.
"There have been limited open market opportunities to lease quality land such as this within the district in recent years," rural agent James Wardle said.
"We invite any potential lessees to contact us to inspect or provide a memorandum."
The property is offered for lease by expressions of interest which are due by 3pm, October 24, 2019.
