IT was a slightly easier sheep market at Ouyen Livestock Exchange, Vic, today, where 4149 lambs and mutton were offered.
Crossbred lambs topped at $270 for 50 from N Hamilton, Ouyen, and 101 from B&C O'Callaghan, Ouyen, who also sold 146 at $262.
Monaghan Unit Trust, Speed, sold 57 crossbred lambs at $266, while Prizabilla, Lameroo, sold 35 at $252.
Export lambs made from $198 to the $270 top, or $8 a kilogram to $9/kg; while trade types sold from $172-$220, or $7.50-$9.30/kg; and store/light lambs made $130-$159.
JA&JG Cunningham, Tintinara, sold 34 crossbred lambs at $241, while C&R Lockett, Underbool, sold 48 at $238.
Heavy Merinos sold from $150-$190, or $7-$8.60/kg, while light Merinos sold from $90-$151, or $7.50-$8.30/kg.
Monaghan Unit Trust sold 66 Merinos at $190, while Lone Pine Pastoral, Sea Lake, Vic, sold 32 Merinos at $181.
Heavy mutton sold from $145-$190, or $5.30-$5.90/kg, while light types made $50-$130, or $4.90-$5.80/kg.
Tandou Limited, Menindee, NSW, sold 32 mutton at $180, while B Boseley, Murrayville, Vic, sold 38 mutton at $166.
Dorpers were also offered, with Kelleen Holdings, Pooncarie, receiving $177 for 90 and Pudney Farms, Lameroo, sold 24 Dorpers at $172.
