RURAL women are being invited to "connect, inspire and discover" at the SA Rural Women's Gathering in Strathalbyn.

Online registrations have opened for the October 11-13 event, with more than 200 women expected to attend.

The SARWG has been happening in country towns across SA for more than 20 years, bringing women together, from all sectors of regional and rural communities, for a long weekend of fun, friendship and activities.

The 2019 theme is Connect, Inspire, Discover, with women from rural and regional areas all over SA heading to Strathalbyn to Connect with each other and their community, to be Inspired by our speakers and workshop presenters and to Discover new skills and ideas and what the region has to offer.

More than 80 different workshop choices are available throughout the weekend, led by local community members.

The topics range from Bees & Birds to Belly-dancing, from beer tasting to winery tours, from worms in sheep to worms in the garden.

You can also learn about writing creative non-fiction, vegetarian cooking, Strathalbyn's History or SA's Aboriginal languages.

Guest speakers include Lucy and Rebecca Willson, Bremerton Wines, Langhorne Creek, who will speak at the Saturday night Gala Dinner.

Head to saruralwomensgathering.org.au to see the full list or workshops and register.
