THIS week's state budget will benefit all "day-to-day" South Australians, according to Treasurer Rob Lucas.
Mr Lucas said the state government's second "responsible" budget projected a modest surplus in 2019-20 and across each year of the forward estimates, despite a significant write-down in forecast GST revenues.
"This is a hard hat, hi-vis budget - focused squarely on building SA, through a significant ($11.9b) pipeline of infrastructure projects that will not only transform the face of Adelaide and the regions, but improve the day-to-day lives of South Australians,'' he said.
Announced ahead of Tuesday's budget, one of the biggest spending pledges made by the government was $1.115 billion for regional roads.
Mr Lucas also confirmed the government's $10m commitment to upgrade the state's ailing Dog Fence, which adds to $10m in federal funding and $5m from industry.
