THERE was a good turnout at the weekend as the Livestock & Rural Transporters Association of SA and the Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association combined to host their annual conference in Adelaide.
The itinerary focused on key issues affecting the industry, including road access, driver safety and the impact of the federal election.
There was also a session devoted to the review of the Heavy Vehicle National Law and the potential impacts.
Guest speakers included SA opposition treasury spokesperson Stephen Mullighan and Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government Minister Stephan Knoll, with the gala dinner also including a keynote address from SA Centre Alliance Senator Rex Patrick.
A special presentation was made for long-time sponsors Cummins and BP Australia, which each marked 100 years of operation in 2019.
