Queensland's largest agricultural field day CRT FarmFest is off to a flying start, with over 2000 exhibitors and a crowd of more than 60,000 visitors expected over the three day event.
FarmFest organiser, Fairfax Rural Events group manager Kate Nugent said farmers are focused on how they can continue to develop and improve efficient farming practices and will be on the look out for new and innovative machinery and technology to achieve their goals.
"We have seen an increase in the number of exhibitors which has demonstrated the incredible power of CRT FarmFest in terms of what it means to the Australian agricultural industry," she said.
"We know our farming sector has faced challenges and it has been difficult times, so we are saying come along to FarmFest and have a day off the farm and see what is new, what is innovative and what is happening in smart farming, it's all here."
Ms Nugent said the site was the largest ever, now at a whopping 22.48 hectares of static display including the Vanderfield machinery demonstration site.
"There has been strong interest from our farm machinery and implements sector," she said.
"We've seen our existing machinery dealers expand their sites, along with a number of new suppliers.
"We are seeing a great deal of innovation on display, there are a heap of demonstrations occurring showcasing new products on the market."
