STEERS sold to $1600 at Mount Pleasant yesterday, for a big Angus from DC Holt, Eden Valley.
Sylvandale, Birdwood, also sold a large Murray Grey steer at $1580.
Hillview Farm Estate, Greenock, sold three Red Angus steers at $1340, while JM&DG Chambers, Birdwood, sold two Angus steers also at $1340.
DC Holt also sold two Angus cows at the sale top of $1480, one at $1460 and another two at $1280.
MJ Place, Sandy Creek, also sold three Murray Grey cows at $1460.
One Angus-cross cow and calf unit was also offered by NF&EA&RM Loffler, Truro, making $940.
KR&ML Thiele, Pompoota, sold four Murray Grey heifers at the sale top of $1320, while IS&SL Paech, Wynarka, sold two Hereford heifers at $1140, while their two Hereford steers made $1300.
MacLachlan Pewsey Vale, Royston Park, sold an Angus and Poll Hereford bull at $1600, and another Angus bull at $1000.
In the sheep section, three Border Leicester lambs kicked off the sale, making $204 for TJ Stavrakis, while FC&KF Baker, Murray Bridge, sold three lambs at $182.
GK&MJ Rich, sold eight lambs at $180 and a another six at $152.
Hoggets sold to $140 for four from MJ Fairburn, Mannum, and Paul Menzel sold five at $134.
Wethers also sold to $140 for two from Jane Turrell, Marananga, and one from PJ Royal, Milendella.
