Warooka stud Orrie Cowie was sashed winner of the Classings Fleece of the Karoonda Farm Fair, for a stud ram fleece valued at $312.89.
Classings Wool Competition coordinator Wade Boughen said the 17.9-kilogram fleece was "very well presented and stood out to the judge."
"It was one of the larger fleeces in the competition and had quality wool figures of a top fleece," he said.
The fleece measured 18.3 micron, 13.1 coefficient of variation, 2.4 standard deviation and 100 per cent comfort factor.
Under judge Steve Averay Landmark Murray Bridge the stud was also awarded Classings Most Successful exhibitor.
The Elders commercial crown was won by NF&EA Loffler, Stonefield, for a fleece worth $142.64.
There were 85 fleeces entered, valued at $7896, with 29 fleeces donated to Cancer Council SA's Greenhill Lodge valued at $1905.
