New and experienced landholders will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in weed identification and pest animal control at a Natural Resources SA Murray-Darling Basin land management course in April.
The course will cover property planning and landholder support, water resources and management of water courses, weed identification and control and, pest animal control.
Landholders will also be able to develop an understanding of their soil profile, pastures and native vegetation management.
Natural Resources SAMDB district officer Dwayne Godfrey said the course would help landholders keep up to date with the latest information.
"The course will be delivered by experienced professionals with specialised skills and knowledge," he said.
"The course will conclude with a farm walk to give participants an opportunity to observe and discuss issues in a practical setting."
The course will involve six two-hour sessions weekly at the Mount Barker Natural Resources Centre beginning on Wednesday, April 17, and will conclude on Saturday, May 25 with a farm walk to be scheduled.
