Should AWI hold an EGM? | POLL
AUSTRALIAN Wool Innovation says it no longer needs to hold an extraordinary general meeting this month, having instead consulted with woolgrower representative groups to resolve issues arising from its governance review.
It's a move welcomed by WoolProducers Australia, with WPA president Ed Storey saying holding an EGM "would have prolonged the state of uncertainty".
The issues in question surround imposing a cap on the maximum term served by directors, the declaration of AGM proxies held by the chair, the structure of the board nomination committee and definition of director independence.
