PIRSA is teaming up with the SA Suicide Prevention Network to host a series of 'connecting with people' workshops to help communities coping with drought.
Farming families and business owners are encouraged to attend to receive targeted, informed support and guidance on how best to assist others and support their own wellbeing during the trying times.
The full day workshops will be led by an experienced mental health facilitator.
Attendees will be advised on how best to compassionately respond to someone who may be struggling to cope with drought-related pressures, and how to help identify and connect them to the supports they need.
Workshops will also provide advice about maintaining and improving your own resilience, self-awareness and instilling a supportive work environment in your operation or business.
Participants will receive certificates of attendance for each module completed.
The first workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at the Karoonda Football Club from 9am.
