TWENTY studs opened their gates to the public on a very hot day two of Stock Journal's Beef Week, from the Hills to the Fleurieu and as far as Loxton.
A variety of breeds were on display, including Angus, Lowlines, Murray Greys, Charolais, Shorthorns, Simmentals, Limousins, Santa Gertrudis and Speckle Parks.
Despite the tough season, many stud principals reported good inquiry as they opened their farmgates to show their selected genetics to potential clients.
Some studs achieved sales on the day, while others use it as a chance to showcase breeding stock, progeny or preview bull and female offerings ahead of on-property sales later this month.
Stock Journal’s VANESSA BINKS, ALISHA FOGDEN, CATHERINE MILLER, CLAIRE HARRIS and MARK SCOWN were out capturing the action.
Check in again to see who was out and about for day three in the Lower South East on Monday.
