SIX studs and six different breeds of cattle – Murray Grey, Angus, Droughtmaster, South Devon, Limousin and Santa Gertrudis – were on show in the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula for day one of Stock Journal Beef Week.
Despite the tough season, many stud principals reported good inquiry as they opened their farmgates to show their selected genetics to potential clients.
Some studs achieved sales on the day, while others use it as a chance to preview their offering of bulls, and females, ahead on their on-property sales later this month.
Stock Journal’s VANESSA BINKS, CLAIRE HARRIS and ELIZABETH ANDERSON were out capturing the action.
Check in again to see who was out and about for day two in the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Riverland on Sunday.
