Residents and producers within the 1.5-kilometre outbreak area will have an opportunity to receive the latest updates on the fruit fly eradication response throughout Loxton at a community meeting.
The meeting will be held on December 19 from 6pm until 7pm at the Loxton Research Centre.
It will feature PIRSA staff involved in the response operations to provide updates on activities and to answer questions from people impacted within the outbreak area.
Since operations commenced last weekend, PIRSA has been issuing information about the outbreak and associated quarantine restrictions and liaising with affected growers and industry.
This meeting provides a further opportunity for the community and PIRSA officers to come together to share information and provide further advice on the efforts required to eliminate fruit fly from the area.
Bookings are essential and for further information visit pir.sa.gov.au or contact the Loxton Research Centre on 8595 9100.
