PRICES were fairly solid at the final Mount Pleasant sale for the year on Thursday last week.
Landmark Fawcett Mount Pleasant auctioneer Colin Fawcett said there was a larger yarding of sheep and lambs at 2328 but numbers usually rose for the last sale before Christmas.
“Some of the lambs were starting to lose a bit of bloom, but the sheep and lamb sale was still pretty solid throughout,” he said.
There were fairly similar numbers of cattle offered at 226 head.
“Once again, good cattle sold well and there was a bit more interest in smaller, lighter cattle, but only the better types,” Mr Fawcett said.
