CASE IH dealership, O’Connors has become the largest dealer in Australia following the purchase of four existing dealerships in Central West NSW.
McClintock Group dealerships located in Forbes, West Wyalong and Grenfell, along with Sincock LVM’s Condobolin branch were purchased, in a move that brings the dealers footprint from six to ten locations.
O’Connors, chief executive officer, Gareth Webb, said O’Connors had been looking to expand and the McClintock dealerships presented the perfect fit.
“O’Connors is a family business built upon great customer relationships, commitment to service and knowledge of the industry, particularly in broadacre,” he said.
“The acquisition of the McClintock’s Case IH dealerships is a great opportunity to extend our footprint with an organisation that has similar values and history.”
Case IH, Australia and New Zealand general manager, Pete McCann, said the purchase secured the Case IH name in a prominent agricultural region.
“We need to ensure the future of these branches for the benefit of the Case IH customers in these areas, who have been so well served by McClintock’s for more than 45 years,” he said.
“O’Connors is a highly-respected name within the network and we know with this expansion these branches will go from strength to strength under its management.
“This move also ensures the ongoing strength and long-term viability of Case IH in Australia and New Zealand, and that’s good news for not only the brand, but all the branches that make up our extensive network.”
O’Connors was named Case IH ‘Dealer of the Year’ for both 2016 and 2017 has predominately been active in Victoria, with branches in Birchip, Warracknabeal, Horsham, Shepparton, but also has a presence in South Australia through its branch in Bordertown, and NSW with its dealership in Corowa.
The expected changeover date for Condobolin is anticipated for December 1 with the finalisation of the McClintock deal anticipated to be by February 1, 2019.
Mr Webb said O’Connors had built a reputation for delivering exceptional support over 50 years with unrivalled expertise and with parts and service departments backed by our extensive branch network.
“We’re looking forward to bringing these benefits to our new customers and ensuring uninterrupted support during the transition,” he said.
