Young Adelaide singer Ethan “Hiccups” Hall will take to the stage on November 18 with the aim of raising $9500 for a semi-load of hay for struggling Aussie farmers.
Inspired by stories shared by Rural Aid ambassador Grant Denyer, Ethan says the concert is a way for him to use his gift to give to others.
Ethan’s proud mother, Kylie, said Ethan is a very helpful person and after hearing all the stories, they decided Ethan could use his gift to help those who need it.
“It was a family idea, so we are all working together and raising money to help farmers,” Ethan said.
“My school teacher had our class make some posters representing the drought and one of the quotes was ‘you have three choices in life - give up, give in, or give everything you’ve got’, and I love that one,” Ethan said.
The event, Ethan Hall and Friends – A Concert for the Farmers, will be held on Sunday, November 18 from 10.30am until 12.00pm at the Capri Theatre, Goodwood, with a variety of stage, screen and Disney classics to be performed.
Ethan has been hit the right notes since he was two years old, and hopes to one day be a famous singer.
In 2015, when he was 7, Ethan gained attention when he sang Advance Australia Fair at an Adelaide Bite baseball game with the "hiccups".
He has since performed in Sydney at an Australia Day concert, opened with the anthem at the Credit Union Christmas Pageant and in 2018 had his own solo show at the Adelaide Fringe.
Tickets are available for purchase online or with cash at the door on the day.
