ABOUT 3500 sheep and lambs were yarded at Crystal Brook on Thursday, with wethers selling to $120.
The majority of the yarding was from the Eyre Peninsula.
Combined Independent Agents Association director Wayne Hall said the yarding was less than advertised as recent rain led some producers to hang on to stock.
Wether lambs topped at $120, for 152 from White Hut Farm, Clare, sold to Midfield.
Also selling wethers was GR&SM Carr, Tumby Bay, with 395 Greenfields-bloods at $110.
The top price for 3.5-year-old ewes was $140 for 155 from AD&M Davis, Kielpa, while 4.5yo ewes sold to $148 for 111 Collinsville-blds from RL&GM Bawden, Tumby Bay.
Selling 5.5yo Merino ewes were Lagoona Trading, Kimba, with 116 Mallee Hill-blds at $129, sold to Thomas Foods International.
TFI also bought 47 Dohne ewes from Lagoona Trading for $110, as well 130, 5.5yo Merino ewes from Mount Charlotte, Spalding, for $98.
JI&PJ Price, Booborowie, sold 128 Anama-bld ewes for $128.
