The top price paid for young ewes was $36 up on last year at the Bordertown off-shears sale on Wednesday.
Making the top price of $274 was a line of 117 Hannaton-blood ewes from Gary Lock, Linda-Vista, Mundulla.
The second-highest price was $270 for 88 Moorundie-bld young ewes from BM&YD Paech & Sons, Bordertown.
RHL&BS Groocock, Bordertown, sold 242 Ridgway Advance-blds at $250, along with another line of 92 at $236, both selling to Rodwells Edenhope, Vic.
Topping the 4.5yo ewe section was Mundabah Partners, Bordertown, with 152 Hannaton-blds at $160.
The top price for 5.5yo ewes was $138, while wether lambs sold to $112.
There was a bigger yarding of about 5500, compared to last year’s 3000.
The sale will be the only Bordertown off-shears auction for the year.
