THERE was a dearer trend across the board at the final 2018 Ouyen, Vic, sale on Thursday.
Mutton rose by up to $30 on the previous market, while lambs were $5 to $10 dearer.
There were 5742 lambs and 3930 mutton offered for a total yarding of 9672.
Export crossbred sucker lambs made from $160-$216 or $6.80 a kilogram to $8/kg, trades from $125-$192 or $7-$8/kg and stores brought in $57-$126 or $7.60-$8.20/kg.
Topping the market was P&B O’Brien, Speed, Vic, with 56 lambs at $216. The same vendor also sold a further 66 at $200.
Crossbred sucker lamb sellers included F Stone, Torrita, Vic, 30 at $200, S Boschert, Tempy, Vic, 36 at $195, W Schultz, Mittyack, Vic, 40 at $192, B&T Jolly, Speed, 18 at $190 and P&M Shaddock, Ouyen, 54 at $188.
Other crossbred sucker lamb sellers were N Vallance, Ouyen, 29 at $175, Hall Farms, Mittyack, 43 at $148 and BJ Pfieffer, Parrakie, 241 at $124.
Also selling crossbred sucker lambs were K&L Pfieffer, Parrakie, 106 at $212, Erhardt Partners, Galah, Vic, 35 at $210, S Neyland, Karawinna, Vic, 31 at $207, D Goldsmith, Yarrara, Vic, 66 at $203, KJ Torpey, Turriff, Vic, 84 at $199, Mead Bros, Walpeup, Vic, 233 at $164, DA Hancock, Parilla, 19 at $161 and DC Symonds, Karoonda, 54 at $156.
Light mutton made $34-$108 or $3.80-$4.50/kg and heavies $100-$164 or $4-$4.50/kg.
Selling mutton were S Boschert, Tempy, 35 at $144 and B&B Etherton, Cowangie, Vic, 22 at $132.
Dorper lamb sellers were MGN Gibbins, Galah, with 59 at $190 and Mallee Livestock Services, Curlwaa, NSW, 32 at $160.
Merino lamb vendors were H Flanner, Ouyen, 38 at $164 and Elliott Rural Farms, Torrita, 51 at $155.
The next scheduled Ouyen sale is Thursday January 10.
