THE state's agribusiness sector was celebrated at a Brand SA industry briefing at the Adelaide Showground this evening.
Brand SA chief executive officer Karen Raffen said each month the organisation focused on a different sector, with October dedicated to agribusiness.
Ms Raffen said the organisation’s purpose was to positively position South Australia.
There were a range of speakers at the industry briefing including Primary Industries and Regional Development Minister Tim Whetstone, Pork SA chairman Mark McLean and Grain Producers SA chief executive officer Caroline Rhodes.
The briefing focused on present and future initiatives for agribusiness in SA and the sector’s economic impact.
Mr Whetstone said the state government was focused on creating an environment more conducive to doing business in SA.
“Supporting locals, supporting SA and growing our economy is what we’re about,” he said.
