MUTTON prices were back by $20 to $30 at the Ouyen, Vic, saleyard on Thursday last week.
There were 8266 lambs and 3720 mutton sold for a total yarding of 11,986.
Lambs sold to either side of firm, depending on quality.
Export crossbred sucker lambs sold from $164-$199 or $6.80 a kilogram to $7.20/kg, trades from $120-$160 or $6.60-$7.30/kg and stores from $30-$115 or $6.20-$6.80/kg.
Topping the market was GW Pickering, Kulwin, Vic, with 99 suckers at $199.

Light mutton made from $31-$88 or $2.80-$3.60/kg and heavies from $90-$145 or $3.50-$3.80/kg.
Mutton sellers included Wegnar, Karoonda, with 75 at $145; Willersdorf, Murrayville, Vic, 164 at $133; M Pohlner, 176 at $122; I&A Marshall, Ouyen, 74 at $121 and D Nichols, Walpeup, 24 at $103.
Selling Dorper lambs were E.R.F., Torrita, 80 at $146 and M&C Heintze, Murrayville, 64 at $135.
Merino lamb sellers included H Flanner, Kiamal, 38 at $160 and Lone Pine Pastoral, Sea Lake, Vic, 25 at $136.
