THERE were 8151 sucker lambs 2401 old lambs and 3785 mutton sold at Ouyen, Vic, on Thursday last week, for a total yarding of 14,337.
Lambs were $10 cheaper from the previous sale, while mutton was firm to $10 dearer on heavy sheep.
Export crossbred sucker lambs sold from $163 to $230 or $7.20 a kilogram to $8.20/kg, trades from $115-$179 or $6.80-$8/kg and stores from $50-$114 or $7.10-$8.50/kg.
N&F Hamilton, Ouyen, topped the sucker lamb section with 53 at $230, and also sold another line of 51 at $190.
Other crossbred sucker lamb sellers included F Stone, Torrita, Vic, 56 at $215, Erhardt Partners, Galah, Vic, with 99 at $211, and P&B O’Brien, Speed, Vic, 77 at $208.
J Hahnel Nominees, Timberoo, sold 69 sucker lambs at $207, while H&P Ferguson, Walpeup, Vic, had 111 at $206, M&N Lynch, Kiamal, Vic, had 20 at $195 and B&T Jolly, Speed, had 24 at $194.
Topping the crossbred older lamb section was Waymel, Ouyen, with 30 at $254.
Other older lamb sellers were Hannig Bros, Walpeup, Vic, 91 at $202 and Lalirra Farms, Loxton, 65 at $160.
Light Merinos made $54-$133 or $4.30-$6/kg.
Selling Merino lambs were Atlantean Group, Lameroo, with 24 at $133 and H Flanner, Ouyen, 85 at $177.
Light mutton sold from $44-$132 and heavies from $118-$181.
Mutton sellers included C&K Bormann, Karoonda, with 29 at $181, H&P Ferguson, 79 at $153 and Erhardt Partners, 56 at $153.
Other mutton sellers were J Hahnel Nominees, 115 at $180, J&P Heaslip, Trinita, Vic, 25 at $179 and G&P Burns, Tempy, Vic, 35 at $170.
Dorper lamb sellers included MGN Gibbins, Galah, 46 at $177 and M&C Heintze, Murrayville, Vic, 59 at $156.
