Will GM review result in change? | POLL
LABELLED “long overdue” by Grain Producers SA chairman Wade Dabinett, the state government’s independent review of the moratorium on genetically-modified crops is under way, seeking submissions until late October.
The review is being led by the University of Adelaide’s Kym Anderson, with findings set to be announced early next year.
Primary Industries Minister Tim Whetstone says the review will “enable better informed policy decisions regarding GM crops in SA”, and both supporters and opponents of GM technology will be watching closely to see if the moratorium remains in place or is lifted.
