THE Royal Adelaide Show’s Merino and Poll Merino judging is always a highlight on the show schedule, with some of the country’s best sheep sharing the mat in the sheep pavilion.
This year, ultimate glory went to the Sullivan family, Greenfields stud, Hallett, who won supreme exhibit with their imposing Merino ram Lofty.
Greenfields completed an impressive supreme double, also picking up the top prize in the wool section.
Lofty began its show campaign in the August-shorn Merino classes, rising to grand champion ram. In the August Poll Merinos, Balaklava stud Nyowee and Mulloorie stud, Brinkworth and Tintinara, shared the spoils.
The hugely popular school wether competition was won by Keith Area school, thanks to the impressive meat value of their three wethers.
