In a major coup Jamestown Show has secured Federal Agriculture and Water Resources Minister David Littleproud to open its event on Monday, October 1.
He will also participate in a special Q&A panel session as part of the ‘Sheeptacular’ weekend, which has a strong sheep and wool focus.
Woolgrowers, pastoralists and farmers are encouraged to come along and ask the Minister a question on a range of ag related issues.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to expose the federal minister to agriculture in SA, which will improve the chances of federal policy being formulated that is relevant to our situation,” Jamestown Show president David Cooper said.
“The Q&A session in particular gives all SA primary producers and carriers a direct line of communication to the Minister on that day.”
Minister Littleproud was sworn in as Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources in December 2017 and has been a member of the House of Representatives for Maranoa, Qld since 2016.
He was born and raised in Chinchilla, has a background in agribusiness and now lives in Warwick.
Jamestown Show is a two-day event, held on September 30 and October 1 at the Jamestown Showgrounds.
