THERE was a bigger crowd at the second day of the Eyre Peninsula Field Days, with many of the region's school closed to allow students to attend the event.

The 21st biennial Eyre Peninsula Field Days provided a great showcase of the region and the latest in farming technology.

Field days president Geoff Bammann said Wednesday was traditionally the busiest day of the event,.

“I thought the crowd had been pretty good, especially considering the wind was trying at times,” he said.

The event featured more than 450 exhibitors.

“Not only does the field days provide a great opportunity for community groups to raise money, it’s also good for local businesses as well,” Mr Bammann said.

“It’s a great opportunity for businesses to showcase products that people wouldn’t normally see or even know about.”
