THERE were 403 sucker lambs, 6930 lambs and 2821 mutton offered at Ouyen, Vic, last week for a total yarding of 10,154.
A few pens of new season sucker lambs sold to strong competition, topping at $218.
Old lambs sold to a slightly cheaper trend, with the lighter lots most affected and they were $10-$20 cheaper.
Export crossbred lambs made $180 to $269 or $7.30-$7.90/kg, trades from $120-$222 or $7.50-$8.30/kg and stores $20-$118 or $5.80-$6.50/kg.
N Hamilton, Ouyen , topped the market with 50 crossbreds at $269, and also sold a further 79 at $257.
P&P Wisneske, Underbool, Vic, made the second-highest price with 27 crossbreds at $246.
Other crossbred lamb sellers included A Beelitz, Parrakie, 41 at $227, S Neyland, Karrawinna, 45 at $225, B&C O’Callaghan, Ouyen, 60 at $218, G&N Crow, Underbool, 37 at $215, P&B O’Brian, Speed, Vic, 52 at $214 and TW&JR Ryan, Manangatang, Vic, 31 at $214.
Selling crossbred sucker lambs were Downdale, Speed, 60 at $218, G Vine, Ouyen, 25 at $213.50, Lalirra Farms, Loxton, 66 at $210, M.U.T, Tempy, Vic, 37 at $208 and J&M Shean, Tempy, 30 at $205.
Offering crossbred old lambs were N&R Monaghan, Tempy, 62 at $260, Brady Farms, Nandaly, Vic, 28 at $232 and G&P Burns, Tempy, 26 at $227.
Light Merinos made $ 24-$70 or $5-$5.70/kg and heavies made $150-$204 or $5.80-$7/kg.
Selling Merino lambs were Kulwin Ag, Kulwin, Vic, with 133 at $204 and a further 97 at $186, and N&B Templeton, Manangatang, 109 at $178.
Light mutton made $20-$98 or $2.50-$4.20/kg and heavies from $110-$146 or $3.40-$4.10/kg.
Mutton sellers included T Gibson, Cowangie, Vic, 48 at $146 and J Hahnel Noms, Timberoo, Vic, 82 at $127.
Selling Dorper lambs were Serenity Holdings, Meringur, Vic, with 109 at $168 and M&C Heintze, Murrayville, Vic, with 51 at $161.
