In just more than a month the 2018 Growing SA conference will be held in Adelaide and registrations have officially opened.
Hosted by Grain Producers SA and Livestock SA, a top lineup of industry speakers will grace the stage on Friday, September 14 at the Adelaide Hills convention centre, Hahndorf.
Farm business competitiveness, profitability and growth will be discussed by speakers that include Primary Industries minister Tim Whetstone, Rabobank agricultural analyst Wes Lefroy, Rural Direction’s Simon Vogt, Meat & Livestock Australia’s Lisa Sharp, as well as internation speaker from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, Stuart Smyth.
The conference will aim to keep producers updated on policy and farm business advice and enable producers, industry service providers, stakeholders, politicians and policy-makers from across SA to engage in two-way dialogue regarding policy issues and to network.
It will also feature a panel session with four of the grain and livestock industries’ brightest stars.
The panel will discuss the future policy settings required for growth, the relevance of advocacy bodies and growing our rural and regional communities as the vital support network to farming businesses.
An industry breakfast sponsored by Rural Business Support will be held prior to the conference while a networking hour sponsored by Viterra will close out the day's proceedings.
