THE state’s dairyfarmers received insight into the latest pastures research at the DairySA Innovation Day, held at Mount Gambier.
Among the line-up of speakers New Zealand recruitment specialist Lee Astridge, no8HR, shared tips on the best way to find – and keep – the right staff, young dairyfarmers spoke about their pathways into the industry and Dairy Australia managing director Ian Halliday provided insight into the domestic and global outlook for the industry.
Innovative projects in pastures and genomics were also key to the program with DairyBio and DairyFeedbase co-director David Nation giving insight into the investments in the area and what the future looks like for animal fodder.
Udder Delights Australian chief executive officer Sheree Sullivan provided a summary of her business history and the lessons she has learned during that time.
