THE 6500-square metre expansion at the Beerenberg Family Farm head office will handle 60,000 bottles of sauce in a shift, in the company’s bid to expand their production and future.
It was officially opened by Governor of SA Hieu Van Le at Beerenberg, Hahndorf, last night.
More than 300 family friends, staff, contractors and distributors walked through the new facility, lead by the Paech family.
Beerenberg Family Farm has come along way from when the first batch of strawberry jam was made in Carolyn Paech’s kitchen.
The new facilities, which are the brainchild of managing director Anthony Paech, include state-of-the-art equipment allowing the jam, marmalade and condiment manufacturer to increase production capacity past 15 tonne of product in an eight-hour shift.
Today, business has expanded from employing a handful of staff to 85 South Australians.
Presently, Beerenberg products can be found in 24 countries, major airlines and more than 300 hotels world wide.
