The SA Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association held its annual state conference to discuss some of the big issues they faced and push for change.

SA ICPA president Kerry Williams said it was important to have everyone come together to discuss these concerns.

“A lot of us are very isolated, so this is a chance to have our voices heard,” she said.

“Great thing about ICPA is that it really is grassroots – everyone can have their say and their concerns listened to and from that, big things can happen.

“We can take concerns directly to state ministers or, through federal council, through to federal ministers in Canberra.”

Next year’s state conference will be held via video conference because SA will be hosting the federal conference.
