Woman injured in Innisfail crash
A woman has been airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition after a two vehicle traffic crash at Innisfail on Tuesday afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate at 4.10pm a car and cement truck were both headed south on the Bruce Highway when they collided near the intersection with Rifle Range Road.
The driver of the car, an Innisfail woman in her 50s, was airlifted to the Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the truck, a 26-year-old Innisfail man, was not physically injured in the crash.
There were no passengers in either vehicle and investigations are continuing.
