NUMBERS jumped for this year’s SA Sheep Expo – the third year it has been held.
More than 90 entrants from SA, NSW and Vic spent three days at the Adelaide Showground learning more about sheep handling, health and management.
SA Sheep Expo committee chairman Steve Kellock said the event was “really building to something big”.
“I think next year will be even bigger again,” he said.
He said it was great to see so many young people so passionate about the industry.
“They’re all kids that love sheep and love working with stock, so they’re a pleasure to teach,” he said.
The Australia Sheep Stud Breeders Award of Excellence and SASAG highest senior achiever prize went interstate to Vic for the third time, with Emily Webb Ware, Yea, Vic, impressing the judges.
